Job Title: 2nd Line Support Engineer (Contract)
Location: Central London
Duration: 3 months
Rate: £150–£200 per day (inside IR35)
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to support a large-scale rollout of new hardware and mobile devices across facilities in Central London. You'll be part of a critical program deploying infrastructure to support a new Electronic System.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deploy ~300 desktops across multiple sites (80/20 desktop/laptop split)
- Configure and roll out over 50 new iPhones
- Deploy and populate multiple device charging stations
- Install and set up Zebra mobile label printers and Honeywell desktop label printers
- Attach label printers to mobile carts for barcode printing
- Set up and configure barcode scanners
- Use SCCM primarily for device imaging and deployment
- Light usage of Microsoft Intune
- Deliver basic user training on new systems, including Expanse software
- Support go-live and hyper care phases of EHS deployment
Ideal Candidate
- Proven 2nd Line Support / Deployment background
- Strong experience with SCCM; some exposure to Intune
- Comfortable deploying a wide range of hardware (desktops, phones, printers, scanners)
- Experience in healthcare or highly regulated environments is a plus
- Ability to work across multiple London-based sites
- Strong communication skills for occasional user training
