4x Locum ENT Consultants - Thyroid, Otology, Paeds, Sleep Surgery

Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated care trust providing a wide range of hospital and community health services for Hackney, the City of London, and surrounding communities. The Trust operates from Homerton University Hospital, which features 400 beds, intensive care, and specialized units including paediatrics, maternity, and neonatal wards. With a variety of surgical and community services, the Trust also offers specialized care in areas such as obstetrics and neonatology, fertility, HIV and sexual health, asthma, allergies, bariatric surgery, and neurorehabilitation.

Role Description

This is a full-time opportunity for four Locum ENT Consultant posts at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, each with a sub-specialty focus in Thyroid Surgery, Otology, Paediatric ENT, or Sleep Surgery. Successful applicants will be responsible for delivering high-quality ENT care within their sub-specialty, including outpatient consultations, surgical procedures, and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings. Consultants will also contribute to service development, audit, and the supervision of junior staff. The posts are based at Homerton University Hospital, London, with some remote working sessions incorporated into the job plan where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Specialist registration (or within 6 months) certification in Otolaryngology (ENT) and sub-specialty training in Thyroid, Otology, Paediatric, or Sleep Surgery
• Proven experience in ENT surgery, patient assessments, and treatment planning
• Excellent surgical skills and the ability to perform complex ENT surgeries
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with current medical technology and software
• Full GMC registration with a license to practice in the UK
