Role Overview:
As an AAT Qualified Finance Assistant, you will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is a junior role with high growth potential, designed for a driven individual looking to advance quickly within the finance function within a fast growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support with credit control functions.
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting for internal use and external funders (e.g., British Business Bank).
- Support budgeting, modelling and forecasting activities.
- Monitor, track and analyse the performance of active loans.
- Prepare and file returns and assist with other compliance tasks.
- Ensure borrower files are complete and compliant with internal policies.
- Assist with bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and maintaining ledgers.
- Provide cover with processing invoices, expenses, and payments accurately and efficiently.
- Provide cover and assistance in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
Essential Requirements:
- AAT Level 3 or 4 qualified (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite and XERO accounting software.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
