We have a fantastic opportunity at our Castleford site for an ABG Operator.
The Person
The ideal candidate will ideally be an experienced ABG Operator with a good understanding of print processes.
A flexible attitude along with being able to work well under pressure is a must.
Having good problem-solving skills, an eye for detail & the ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
Experience - Minimum 2 years recent print knowledge is required.
The Role
Summary:
The post holder will be responsible for working to a high standard within tight deadlines to ensure a quality service & maximum efficiency is achieved.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Understand & follow CMS and job expectation.
2. Set the web up central.
3. Responsible for mounting the mag cutter and align print to die strike register mark.
4. Initialise job and strip waste matrix away.
5. Set flexo, screen and foiling units in line with CMS requirements.
6. Ink mixing to agreed recipe and standard as and when required. Measuring ink via Xrite delta reading methods.
7. Optimise processes & prioritise tasks all times.
8. Understand the Company Quality, Hygiene and Environmental Policies in relation to the relevant standards (specifically BS EN ISO 9001: 2015 & PS9000:2016) and actively promote these within the business.
9. Adhere to H&S within the workplace to ensure safe working practice.
