121 Mining Investment is a series of international event that enables investors to connect with credible growth stage natural resource projects for capital raising meetings. The event model connects buyside and sell side through pre-screened investment meetings supported by industry rich conference content and a weekly industry news platform The Assay that covers trends in metals and mining investment. 121 sits within the Energy Transition division of Hyve’s alongside sister brand Mining Indaba that is the largest industry conference and exhibition held annually on the African continent. We are looking for a commercially driven sales manager to lead client acquisition and revenue growth across the EMEA region. This role focuses on selling investor engagement services across our events, through a dedicated* subscription programme and digital marketing subscription service to junior mining companies seeking exposure to global investors. The role also includes selling sponsorship of our events to service providers in the mining financing ecosystem, and managing key acc
ounts.Key Responsibil
ities:
Sales Execution: Drive sales of 121 Mining Investment events, The Assay magazine, and Investor Engagement services to clients acros
s EMEA.Client Development: Identify and engage junior mining companies in the region, understanding their capital raising needs and positioning our solutions accordingly. Good understanding of buy-side trends is helpful to identify relevant investors for c
lients.Regional Strategy: Develop and execute a go-to-market plan tailored to the EMEA mining landscape, including key markets in Africa, Europe, and the Middl
e East.Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with mining executives, IR professionals, and regional stakeholders. Understand both buy and sell side requirements, make vetted introductions accor
dingly.Collaboration: Work closely with global sales, marketing, and editorial teams to deliver integrated client sol
utions.Market Insight: Monitor trends in mining finance – specifically commodity trends and broader investment behaviour globally to inform sales strategy and client convers
ations.
Regional Expertise: Strong understanding of the mining investment landscape in EMEA, including key jurisdictions and capital raising
trends.Sales Experience: 5–7 years in B2B sales, ideally within mining, finance, or investment media
/events.Industry Network: Existing relationships with mining companies and investors in EMEA is a strong ad
vantage.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions
clearly.Self-Starter: Comfortable working independently and managing a regional sales p
ipeline.Ability to travel: The role requires periods of travel, the ideal candidate would be able to accommodate f
