The Role
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our International Property division, providing essential technical and administrative support to the Political Violence team.
What you'll do
Determines own and others' work priorities in line with agreed plans to achieve personal and team objectives.
Meets agreed targets and contributes to team meetings by reporting on business progress.
Manages assigned projects and supports additional projects as needed.
Assists in creating client and broking documents, including MRCs and endorsements.
Ensures compliance with territory, tax, and legislation requirements and responds to market queries.
Maintains accurate data entry, follows up on subjectivities, and communicates with clients regarding premium payments.
Liaises with support technicians and IBA, checks documentation for accuracy, and may sign certain client documents.
Keeps records up to date in company systems and ensures documentation meets compliance and audit standards.
Builds strong relationships with stakeholders, supports clients and colleagues, and handles client enquiries and adjustments.
Stays informed of market, legal, and regulatory developments, completes required training, and adheres to company policies and ethical standards.
Who we're looking for
Strong understanding of insurance principles, legal frameworks, and regulatory environments.
In-depth awareness of market dynamics, competitors, cultural nuances, and specific territory insights, with relevant product line experience.
Several years of hands-on experience in their area of product expertise, contributing valuable insights and performance.
Clear understanding of team objectives and how their role supports broader goals.
Skilled in relevant systems and computer literate, with strong numeracy and literacy.
Customer-focused, confident communicator, and positively regarded by colleagues and clients.
Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines using initiative and flexibility.
Strong analytical thinking, decision-making ability, and excellent attention to detail.
Calm under pressure, responsive to change, and committed to continuous learning.
A team player with strong negotiation and influencing skills, capable of building sustainable relationships.
Qualifications
Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
A levels or equivalent (desirable)
Attainment of the LLMIT (the Lloyd's and London Market Introductory Test) where relevant to the role
Working towards or has attained ACII (although this is not critical)
