Role Overview
We are seeking a high-performing Strategic Account Executive to lead end-to-end customer engagements across the SAP ecosystem. This role blends account ownership, net new business acquisition, and customer relationship management to drive sustainable growth and transformation for enterprise clients in the UK.
You will be responsible for developing strategic account plans, managing complex sales cycles, and orchestrating cross-functional teams to deliver tailored SAP solutions that align with client goals. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, consultative sales environment and is passionate about delivering business value through technology.
Key Responsibilities
Account & Customer Relationship Management • Serve as the trusted advisor and end-to-end account owner for enterprise clients. • Build deep relationships with senior stakeholders (CFO, CIO, CPO, Heads of Procurement, Treasury, IT). • Understand each customer’s strategic priorities, technology landscape, and competitive environment. • Drive NNB, renewals, expansions, and up-sell opportunities across SAP’s solution portfolio.
Demand Generation & Opportunity Management • Develop and execute territory and account plans aligned with revenue targets. • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through strategic outreach and partner collaboration. • Leverage internal resources (marketing, inside sales, delivery teams) to generate demand and manage opportunities. • Respond to RFI/RFPs and craft compelling business cases with internal consultants.
Sales Excellence • Conduct White Space analysis to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts. • Position Boss's solutions and offerings effectively against competitors, staying informed on market trends and client challenges. • Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM discipline to ensure visibility and accountability.
Leadership & Team Orchestration • Lead remote and cross-functional account teams to align with customer objectives. • Ensure strategic preparation for all customer interactions, maximizing the value of SAP’s sales support ecosystem. • Collaborate with SAP market leads, product teams, and industry experts to shape win strategies.
Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience in enterprise software/IT solution sales, ideally within the SAP ecosystem. • Proven success in complex sales cycles, net new business acquisition, and team-selling environments. • Strong understanding of financial operations (working capital, trade finance, treasury, procurement). • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience with subscription-based solutions. • Willingness to travel as required.
