Role Overview
The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in Acierta’s client services team, driving business performance across all projects and client relationships. This is a high-responsibility, goals-driven position that requires strategic thinking, client leadership, strong financial acumen, and excellent time and project management. The ideal candidate is business-minded, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings deep experience in retail production.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic partner to clients, fostering trust and long-term relationships
- Translate client briefs into actionable proposals, then manage end-to-end project delivery
- Proactively identify opportunities to grow client accounts and expand project scopes
- Lead client communication across all phases, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and satisfaction
- Manage reverse briefs and project debriefs, ensuring clear alignment and continuous improvement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client-side teams and external agencies
Project & Creative Oversight
- Act as the internal voice of the client, aligning project outputs with their business and brand objectives
- Lead cross-functional internal and external teams (creative, production, logistics) to ensure cohesive and timely project execution
- Oversee development of timelines, workback schedules, and deliverables in collaboration with internal teams
- Manage project meetings, calls, and documentation with clear ownership and structure
- Ensure budget oversight, monitor burn reports, and manage change orders
- Ensure resources are optimised and sort outgrowth when needed.
Team & Operations
- Supervise and mentor a team of project managers, ensuring quality and consistency
- Ensure team compliance with internal systems and processes (creative, financial, reporting)
- Forecast and allocate team workload
- Oversee production deliverables to ensure seamless handoffs and technical accuracy
Financial & Commercial Accountability
- Own project budgets and scheduling from proposal to final delivery
- Monitor all account revenue, meeting/exceeding monthly and annual targets
- Ensure timely reconciliation, billing, and client financial communications
- Identify commercial growth opportunities within accounts
Skills, Experience & Attributes
- 8+ years of experience, ideally in retail, experiential, or design/production environments
- Languages: English and Spanish are mandatory.
- Proven track record managing high-profile, multi-channel projects (retail, events, exhibitions)
- Deep knowledge of retail production and the associated operational requirements
- Strategic mindset with the ability to influence client decision-making
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Confident managing multiple projects with competing priorities
- Natural leadership skills: inspires, mentors, motivates
- Detail-oriented and structured, yet flexible and adaptable to change
- Positive, solution-oriented attitude with strong team collaboration
- Willingness to travel internationally and work occasional weekends or holidays
