Venue Account Manager | OTE £38k-£50k pa | base salary £30k-£32k pa | uncapped commission | full time | permanent | hybrid/London | EMI share options + amazing benefits!


The Role


Hire Space is looking for an entrepreneurial salesperson to build our community of Prime venues, and deliver outstanding value to our key venue clients. Prime venues are the most visible venues, on the most visited events platform in Europe - front and centre for our key clients, and prominent in key brand communication campaigns.


As a Venue Account Manager, you will generate new business, create marketing campaigns and offer exemplary account management to make sure Prime venues are the most recognised and successful venues in events - and ensure they see industry-leading ROI for their investment in Hire Space. With your finger on the pulse of the UK venues and events world at all times, you’ll be the public face of Hire Space’s marketing team, and an ambassador for the brand within the industry and beyond.


Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively reach out to key venues on the phone to ensure that they have a presence on Hire Space
  • Keep a close eye on other online marketplaces. If a venue is appearing online, it should be appearing with us!
  • Work with our client sales teams to ensure that when we need a venue, we sign that venue up
  • Build strong relationships with venue groups, PR companies and industry associations so that we’re the first to know about new venues, before they open
  • Build acquisition campaigns and manage the acquisition process from Lead to Sign Up
  • Design automated processes and workflows to reach out to new venues and engage them with Hire Space
  • Make new venues aware of promotional marketing opportunities and refer leads as appropriate 
  • Organise exclusive client drinks and showrounds at new spaces alongside our business development team
  • Work with our Support Team to ensure new venues are effectively represented on the website, and co-ordinate photography as required
  • Ensure sales and marketing teams are informed and up to date on new live venues on the platform


You should apply if you:

  • Have demonstrable sales experience with fantastic results to match and;
  • At least 1 years experience within the events industry working with venues and;
  • First class sales and account management skills
  • You thrive in a culture of continuous learning and feedback.


It would be a bonus if you:

  • Have experience in a role that gives you extensive knowledge of venues in London
  • An understanding of modern marketing, including SEO, PPC and CRM

Logistics

This is a hybrid remote / in-person role. You will be required to work from our Central London office location from time to time, and this allocation may change over time. You should always be somewhere that operates on UK time.


Our client base is predominantly in London and it is important that you are able to visit venues, clients and attend our away days in-person. You can usually expect to be in/around London on average 3 days per week.
