Account Project Lead
We're seeking an Account Project Lead to join our award-winning London studio, supporting our design teams in delivering exceptional creative projects.
This role is key to ensuring smooth project execution, from day-to-day communications to building strong client and team relationships. You’ll help manage a wide range of projects, identifying opportunities, solving problems, and keeping everything on track, on budget, and beyond expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Start to end project management of the delivery of pitches and projects against agreed budgets and timelines, managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Act as the communication hub, keeping everyone informed and aligned with clear updates and proactive problem-solving throughout the project life-cycle.
- Prepare, monitor, co-ordinate and maintain detailed project schedules encompassing design, supplier and site requirements.
- Support with proposal writing skills, crafting compelling scopes of work that win new business.
- Management and responsibility for the financial aspects of the project from costing proposals, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and WIP reporting.
- Ensure that project schedules are fully monitored during the entire project life cycle (planning through to execution), providing constructive feedback and advocating for the best possible solutions.
- Work in collaboration with the New Business team, supporting client development activities and seeking opportunities to grow scopes of work.
- Become a client expert, understanding their business inside and out, and sharing valuable insights with the project team and new business team.
- Spot opportunities to grow client relationships by identifying how D&P can solve their biggest challenges.
- Continuously evaluate and refine the processes to improve efficiency and output quality. Implement best practices for project management and team collaboration.
You’ll need
- It is an essential requirement to have a design background or knowledge.
- Solid previous experience working in a creative agency or as a design manager for a brand, in a similar role managing complex projects in built environments. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Natural ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers.
- Excellent project management skills with a successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong commercial acumen with good negotiation skills, with the ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
- Eye for detail, ensure that all presentations, offers and all communication are error-free and of the highest quality.
- An architectural background would be advantageous, with an understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
