Achieving for Children (AfC) is looking for a qualified or part-qualified Accountant to join our Business Services Finance team. This is a great opportunity to shape children’s services through expert financial support across Richmond, Kingston, and Windsor & Maidenhead.
Hybrid – Home & Office (Twickenham/Kingston as needed)
About the role
You’ll support both management and financial accounting – from budgeting and forecasting to statutory reporting and audit prep. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading financial support for internal services
- Advising budget holders and delivering financial training
- Assisting with IFRS-compliant accounts, statutory returns, and treasury support
- Helping improve systems, controls, and processes
About you
- AAT qualified or part-qualified and working towards CCAB (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA) or CIMA
- Strong experience in financial/management accounting
- Confident working with financial systems and non-finance colleagues
- Detail-focused, proactive, and a collaborative team player
- Desirable: Local government or children's services finance experience
