Senior Financial Accountant

Location: United Kingdom, with travel to Group offices as required

A highly regarded financial services group is seeking to appoint a Senior Financial Accountant to strengthen its financial reporting and performance insight capabilities. This is a key role within the Group Finance team, providing critical support to the Head of Financial Reporting and CFO.

The successful individual will take ownership for the delivery of accurate, timely and business-relevant management reporting, financial planning and insightful analysis. Acting as a trusted partner to operational and financial stakeholders, this position will play an important part in informing commercial decision-making and supporting the strategic objectives of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts, reporting packs and performance insights for Group and divisional entities
• Support the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, including scenario modelling and business case analysis
• Provide clear, actionable insight to operational and business leaders, ensuring financial data is translated into meaningful commentary
• Partner with teams across the Group to monitor business performance, identify risks and opportunities and inform operational decisions
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting, modelling and planning processes

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, preferable) with strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting practices
• Proven experience in management accounts, financial analysis and planning processes
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability and business partnering skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage credibly with senior leaders and non-finance stakeholders
• Financial services or insurance experience is advantageous, though not essential
