HFG are currently working with a leading speciality insurer within the London market who are currently looking for an Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. The role reports into the Controller of International Shared Services and offers a broad scope across financial operations, expenses, statutory reporting, and process improvement.
Perform allocations and expense recharges
Maintain and record inter-company loan balances and interest schedules
Reconcile bank accounts monthly
Prepare non-technical balance sheet reconciliations and resolve differences across multiple ledgers
Support preparation of statutory accounts under UK and local GAAP
Complete all period-end tasks in line with group and SOX controls
Qualified or Part-qualified accountant or equivalent finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
Familiarity with Oracle
Experience working with multiple currencies
Comfortable working with SOX controls and foreign subsidiaries of US-owned entities
Insurance industry experience is desirable
