Type: Full-time – On Site, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Job Brief:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the finance team with day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks. The role will involve processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, assisting with reconciliations, and supporting month-end and statutory reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in finance, with training and support provided where required.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
· Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
· Create, review, and update employee expense claims and reimbursements
· Maintain accurate financial records, both digital and physical, in line with company policies
· Enter and update financial transactions within accounting software and internal systems
· Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
· Prepare and issue sales invoices to customers and external partners
· Support payroll processes by reviewing and filing payroll documentation
· Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
· Support month-end and year-end close activities, including audit preparation
· Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve queries
· Carry out ad hoc finance tasks and support the wider accounts team as required

Qualifications and Technical Skills
· Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (essential)
· Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (around 1 year essential)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
· Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar (essential)
