Your Job
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including the Profit and Loss account and Balance Sheet.
- Ensure that all sales are accurately recorded and establish a robust system to identify issues. Prepare a daily sales KPI report for distribution to individual departments and track sales using various hotel computer information systems.
- Manage the cash and banking functions of the hotel by maintaining the daily income audit, monitoring cash-handling procedures throughout the property, and providing training as needed. Oversee petty cash management and ensured appropriate cash levels were maintained in the hotel.
- Accounts Receivable: Ensure that the processes for recording, invoicing, and following up on payments are effective. Regularly track and monitor the property’s debtors.
- Accounts Payable: Maintain the hotel’s purchasing system, reconcile creditor statements, and address supplier inquiries.
- Safeguard the hotel’s assets, with a particular focus on maintaining strong internal control systems.
What You’ll Need
- We are looking for an ambitious, confident and professional individual with strong communication, organisational and analytical skills.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality, food & beverage environment or within the retail sector.
- The ideal candidate will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
