Our Accounts team is seeking an experienced
Accounts Manager, to manage a portfolio of clients, predominantly positioned within the
music industry ensuring that their varied needs are met and that they are adequately serviced. Working with a small team, you will be responsible for delegating the workload and managing all deadlines within your team, helping to develop team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to effectively perform their role.
Your other duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Be the first point of contact for allocated clients and obtain the information required from the client
- Review and prepare financial statements for diverse range of client assignments as required
- Develop an ongoing, effective relationship with clients and ensure retention of clients
- Identify and develop new client opportunities. Develop strong relationships internally and externally to leverage work opportunities. Ability to cross sell opportunities
- Continue to keep clients informed regarding their reporting obligations
- Endeavour to ensure all jobs are completed within specified budgets
- Address client/accounting problems or issues by researching solutions on a need’s basis
- Manage, coordinate and delegate client work to team members with an appropriate level of capability
- Mentor, train and assist team members to maximise their performance
- Effectively manage the performance of team members, including management of firm’s formal performance review procedures
About you
Skills
You will be confident in working to a high standard, have excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to your work. You will have relevant experience in a managerial role within practice environment, delivering excellent client service. You will also have/be:
- ACA/ACCA Qualified, or at the final stages
- Music Industry Experience, preferably in practice
- Solid understanding of accounting and taxation software with 5+ years relevant experience
- High level management/leadership/supervisory skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people at different levels
- Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a drive for ideas, suggestions and improvements
