Accounts Payable Assistant (2+ years experience)

Location: London (Hybrid - office based Tuesdays & Thursdays)

We're partnering with a well-established business who are looking to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team. This role would suit someone with at least 2 years' Accounts Payable experience who is confident taking ownership of the Accounts Payable function.

The role:

Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will take ownership of day-to-day Accounts Payable responsibilities and act as a key point of contact for supplier queries.

Key responsibilities include:

• End-to-end processing of supplier invoices

• Matching, batching and coding invoices

• Ensuring invoices are coded correctly for VAT

• Managing high-volume payment runs

• Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution

• Supporting month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations

• Assisting with process improvements and ad-hoc finance tasks
  
  

About you:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role

Good working knowledge of VAT, including checking VAT treatment on invoices

Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Confident communicator with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Experience using accounting systems and solid Excel skills
