Role Overview
We are hiring an Ad Technology Specialist to drive the technical integration, enablement, and optimisation of our advertising technology stack. This is a contract-to-perm opportunity to contribute to the monetisation of high-profile digital sports and entertainment platforms such as TNT Sports, Eurosport, Discovery+ and MAX.
You will lead and support the delivery of scalable ad tech solutions across server-side ad insertion, DAI monetisation, ad server migrations, and 3rd-party vendor integrations. Your work will be instrumental in unlocking commercial revenue, ensuring platform stability, and enabling innovation across streaming products.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead technical delivery for core monetisation initiatives, including:
- DAI Monetisation (Entertainment & Sports)
- SKY D+/MAX Monetisation Enablement
- New format deployment (Streaming & Web/App)
- Ad technology and Ad Server enablement and migrations
- Manage the integration and maintenance of 3rd-party ad technology partners (SSPs, ad servers, verification vendors, etc.)
- Build and maintain configurations for SSAI workflows and addressability features
- Collaborate with internal engineering and ad product enablement teams, Commercial Ad Tech leadership and external vendors to troubleshoot, deploy, and optimise ad tech pipelines
- Support validation of technical specs for ad policies, targeting, and tracking
- Exceptional presentation and documentation writing skills and lead knowledge transfer across teams
Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience in technical ad tech engineering or ad operations
- Deep technical knowledge of ad platforms such as FreeWheel (preferred) and Google Ad Manager
- Strong hands-on experience with SSAI/DAI, including VAST, VPAID, SCTE-35, and ad stitching
- Familiarity with mobile SDKs, video players, and web-based ad integrations with the ability to draft clear and detailed engineering requests
- Understanding of cross-device monetisation and video ad architecture
- Proven track record of deploying or supporting complex ad tech infrastructure in production
Desirable
- Experience supporting live or event-based content monetisation (e.g., live sports)
- Exposure to tagging and audience targeting platforms, such as Snowflake and Permutive
- Knowledge of AI deployment and product development
- Scripting or coding knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus
- Familiarity with broadcast or streaming content delivery chains
