Join our Rail Plant team as an Admin Assistant and be part of meaningful, impactful work you can truly take pride in!

We are open to working location for this role, with depots across the South East such as Hither Green, Ashford, Colchester, Three Bridges and Sandiacre.

What you'll be doing

As Admin Assistant you will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Support BU Managers and Operational/Engineering Teams on:
    • Digitisation of documentation/processes.
    • Support development of new and review of current processes.
    • Support close out of actions e.g. Audit Actions.

  • Act as training co-ordinator to ensure staff remain compliant.
  • Act as Nutshell (Fatigue Management) administrator.
  • Administration and ongoing continuous improvement of:
    • Balfour Beatty Asset Management System (BBAMS).
    • BBAMS VMI Amendments and Updates.
    • BBRP Engineering and Operational Hub (SharePoint).
    • Balfour Beatty Process SharePoint pages (DM&R, Fleet Checks, VMI Amendments, Engineering Change, Major Scope of Work, RCA and Rail Plant Briefings)
    • Supporting migration of BBRP Business Collaborator to SharePoint.
    • BBRP Power BI BBRP reporting.
    • Autodesk BIM Field 360.
  • Support Business Units with training on BBAMS, BBRP Engineering and Operational Hub, Autodesk BIM Field 360 and the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Support and develop relevant BBRP operational delivery, compliance and engineering reports.
  • Administration of BBRP assets technical files including checking for errors and correct filling of documents.
Who we're looking for

The Following Qualities/experience Are Essential

  • Expert in the Microsoft 365 environment (SharePoint, Power Automate etc)
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a personable demeanour that fosters meaningful engagement with the wider team
  • Ability to work independently.

The Following Qualities/experience Are Desirable

  • Experience working in an engineering environment
  • Knowledge of rail industry technical and safety standards
