An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the BCUHB Help Me Quit Team as a Admin & Resource Officer. This role requires excellent time management, planning and organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
This role is fixed term or secondment until March 2026 to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will assist the Help Me Quit team in their delivery of the smoking cessation programme and carry out administration tasks for the team.
As the Admin & Resource Officer, the post holder will have specific responsibilities in carrying out delegated administrative duties and health improvement activities in the community, working under regular supervision of the Service Lead.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English &/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications And Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Word processing to RSA III/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of experience
- Documented evidence of participation in training activities
- An understanding of the implications of cultural difference for service delivery
- Understanding the role of the Help Me Quit Team
- Self-motivation for continued professional development
Desirable criteria
- ECDL
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Thorough understanding of office procedures
- Knowledge of NHS and Local Health Boards
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable experience in an administrative role
- Experience of communicating with all levels of professional staff and the public
- Experience of dealing with confidential, sensitive data, appropriate maintenance and storage of records
Desirable criteria
- Experience of multi-disciplinary and multi -agency working
- Experience of delivering health promotion programmes
- Experience of administering finance systems, e.g. requisitions, budget monitoring
