Post: Administration Assistant NHS Health Checks
Location: Newfield House, Vicarage Lane, Blackpool, FY4 4EW
Responsible to: NHS Health Checks Manager
Hours: Part Time (15-20 hours per week)
Pay: £12.45 per hour
Schedule: Wednesday Friday (shift pattern negotiable but altered/additional days may be required initially to fulfil training)

Job Purpose:
To work as part of a team providing a full administrative service to ensure the smooth operation of community-based clinics delivering NHS Health Checks, as commissioned by Lancashire County Council.
This will involve dealing with clinic creation, patient appointment bookings and general queries, tracking patients through the system, stock taking and ordering of consumables and other relevant duties as requested by the NHS Health Checks Manager.
To provide additional administrative support within the company as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- To communicate with potential community venues and employers about holding NHS Health Checks clinics, explaining to them the purpose of the NHS Health Checks program.
- Create clinics on internal booking systems, as well as the marketing materials and booking links.
- To transfer patient bookings from email confirmation to our appointment system.
- To ensure all information collected is held securely and in confidence.
- Ensure all patient consultations are sent to patients GP.
- To always answer the telephone in a courteous and pleasant manner.
- Respond to any requests to provide appropriate information from contacts, venues and patients.
- Working with the NHS Health Checks Manager and other key staff within the company to develop effective administrative processes.
- To undertake relevant training where necessary.
- General office duties including stock taking and placing orders with suppliers.
- To assist with staff planning.
- To assist with Quality Control audits on our point of care testing analysers.
- To carry out other relevant duties as instructed by the NHS Health Checks Manager.
- To monitor clinic appointments / utilisation.
- To support on clinic preparation, equipment, general queries.
