Job Overview

The Early Pregnancy and Gynae Assessment unit are looking for a part time administrator to become part of our small team. We are looking for a friendly, patient facing and motivated individual who has excellent communication skills

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

To provide an excellent customer service to patients, relatives/carers and to external agencies

To provide a comprehensive administration, booking and appointment service for outpatients

To work within the Women and Newborn services and provide cross-cover for other staff across the service to ensure a consistent and effective adminstration service is maintained at all times.

The hours are 22.5 per week with flexible shift pattern, will include Saturday working

Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience

Essential criteria

  • Literacy and numeracy skills, demonstrable to GCSE- grades 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 or grades A*, A, B, C (or equivalent)
  • Good keyboard skills and basic computer literacy skills.
  • Experience in a busy working environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • An understanding of confidentiality issues.
  • Friendly, approachable and sympathetic manner.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Desirable criteria

  • Previous hospital or health service experience.
  • Experience of using eCaMIS.
  • Office experience.
  • Previous experience within a ‘customer care’ role.
