Science Support Administrator (Harpenden/Okehampton)
As part of Rothamsted’s transformation programme, Rothamsted is creating two new roles to provide essential administrative and organisational support to the 6 newly created Science Teams.
About The Role
Working closely with the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Executive Team, Science Directors and Science Team Leads, the Administrator roles will play a central role in supporting the day-to-day operational support to our science teams. These roles will be based at Harpenden and Okehampton (Devon) and will form a close-knit administrative team.
These roles will be both busy and varied and will provide opportunity to apply a broad range of skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.
About You
We are looking for two individuals who bring:
- Previous experience in applying organisational and administrative skills to support the work of a team
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage their own workload, time-manage effectively and prioritise a number of competing tasks
- A proactive, ‘can do’ attitude
- A willingness to learn
- Excellent use of a range of computer software applications including databases and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Commitment to working in a way that is consistent with Rothamsted values: embracing innovation and change, pursuing excellence, working collaboratively, acting with integrity
Role Details
- Contract: Full-time, Fixed term 3 years
- Location: Rothamsted Research (Harpenden & North Wyke)
- Salary range: £24,225 - £26,573 per annum
