Based in our Milton Keynes office, we are looking to expand and grow our small, but perfectly formed Compliance team. The team itself sits within the wider firm, which is focuses on both corporate and personal insolvency. The Compliance team work as an internal service, to help support our case management teams with all things technical and regulatory approved. This role will give scope to learn more about English and Scottish insolvency law.


This a new role so offers a real chance for someone to come in, take ownership of the role and make it their own.

This role offers someone the chance to kick start their career in an exciting sector, where quite literally no two days are same. No previous experience in insolvency is required but an appetite to learn and take onboard new knowledge and technical language ( jargon!) would be a huge advantage. Those who have come from a maths focused or a legal background have typically excelled in similar roles but we welcome applications from all disciplines.


This role sits with in a team, so you should be a good team player, who is willing to roll up their sleeves when required. Therefore a positive, flexible , can-do attitude is what makes you stand out from other applications.


Key Responsibilities


  • Collate and pull together technical updates
  • Issue guidance to staff, as directed
  • Assist with conducting compliance reviews
  • Assistance with our internal case management system (Insolv) – deliverables and improvements and mechanics re document templates / diary line templates and other ad hoc Insolv related tasks
  • Assist with document template changes and improvements
  • Internal training – assistance with preparation and organisation of
  • Quality and compliance checks
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects such as block transfer orders ( linking in with the Courts and solicitors)
  • Assist with monitoring (e.g. prepare and issue manger monthly reports), assist with regulatory body reviews /Internal compliance review visit responses)
  • Assist with partner / office take on tasks
  • Assist with creating a dedicated Compliance intranet folder on the T drive
  • Assistance with other general compliance matters as required
  • Be aware of recent developments in insolvency legislation and guidance from regulators
