This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to shape the future of care for patients undergoing consideration of complex knee revision surgery. As an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist within the Major Revision Knee Centre at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in transforming patient pathways, leading innovation, and influencing national standards of physiotherapy practice. Working across multidisciplinary teams and regional networks, you will provide expert clinical leadership, develop advanced rehabilitation protocols, and mentor senior clinicians across multiple Trusts. This role offers the chance to directly impact patient outcomes, contribute to cutting-edge research, and drive service transformation in one of the UK’s leading orthopaedic institutions.

Main Duties

  • Lead specialist clinics for complex knee arthroplasty patients, including non-operative pathways.
  • Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management within the major revision knee pathway.
  • Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and case discussions.
  • Develop and implement advanced clinical protocols across the regional knee revision network.
  • Mentor senior clinicians and support professional development across multiple Trusts.
  • Design and deliver specialist training and contribute to national education strategies.
  • Lead and participate in clinical audits, research, and service evaluations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Uphold high standards of clinical governance, innovation, and evidence-based practice.
  • Support strategic service development and transformation aligned with Trust objectives.
