Key Requirements:

• Qualified Planning/Property/Infrastructure Lawyer with 7+ years PQE (post-qualification experience).
• Extensive experience in planning law and regulations, including preparing for and handling planning applications, appeals, and inquiries.
• Proven ability to work closely with project teams to ensure legal compliance for new infrastructure projects, including drafting and negotiating contracts, managing disputes, and liaising with external stakeholders.
• Experience in DCO (Development Consent Order) delivery for large infrastructure projects, including site preparation, land acquisition, and construction delivery, is highly desirable.
• Expertise in advising on land acquisition processes for construction sites, including negotiating and drafting agreements for land rights, leases, easements, and licences, as well as compulsory purchase processes.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and statutory requirements for large infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters involving multiple stakeholders, including local authorities and statutory consultees, while adhering to tight project timelines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external partners.
