Agile Coach - 6 Month Contract
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Agile Coach to support our government IT teams in adopting and embedding Agile ways of working. The role focuses on coaching teams, leaders, and stakeholders to strengthen delivery capability and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach teams and individuals in Agile principles, frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), and ways of working.
- Promote Agile culture and mindset, encouraging iterative delivery, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate change by guiding teams and senior stakeholders through the transition to Agile.
- Support leadership and delivery roles, mentoring Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Identify and embed improvements to delivery processes, workflows, governance, and team dynamics.
- Advise on integrating Agile with existing government processes.
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience coaching and training teams in Agile in large organisations
-Proven experience of working in scaled agile environments
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to translate theory into practical application.
- Ability to influence cultural change and coach senior leaders.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable
- Familiarity with government digital services and standards.
- Experience integrating Agile with practices such as DevOps or ITIL.
- Certifications such as ICP-ACC, CSM, PSM, or equivalent.
- Experience working in the UK Civil Service
Must already be SC cleared to work for HMRC and currently living in the UK.
