12 Months Fixed Term Contract
At Imperial Brands, we’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven
AGP (Assessments, Guidance and Permissions) Compliance Specialist to become part of our pioneering global FMCG organisation. With the support of over 25,000 passionate employees worldwide, as AGP Compliance Specialist you’ll play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of science, regulation, and technology—reviewing product materials, collaborating with internal experts and external suppliers, and contributing to the development of cutting-edge IT systems that drive our data-led approach.
If you’re excited by the idea of shaping the future of compliance in a dynamic, international environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Principle Accountabilities
- Drive Timely Product Assessments: Monitor and manage incoming product material and specification approval requests, ensuring swift progression to meet key performance targets.
- Collaborate with Suppliers for Key Data: Liaise with external suppliers to gather essential material information for AGP assessments, including facilitating Confidentiality Agreements where needed.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Review requests against internal standards and country-specific legislation, helping maintain our commitment to global regulatory compliance excellence.
- Support Risk Assessment Processes: Compile detailed information for AGP toxicologists, manage document archiving, and coordinate with internal teams on change control and reporting.
- Champion System and Process Improvements: Actively engage in the development and testing of new systems/software, contribute to LEAN initiatives, and help shape smarter, more efficient compliance systems and workflows.
- Be a Key Communication Link: Keep stakeholders informed on assessment progress and support ad hoc queries, playing a vital role in maintaining transparency and trust across teams.
Skills and Experience Required
- Data-Driven Mindset: Proven experience working with large datasets and complex data analysis, with confidence navigating various database systems.
- Tech-Savvy Approach: Strong computer literacy, especially in databases, and a keen interest in contributing to IT system development and testing. Able to translate user needs into written requirements for software developers to enable winning systems solutions to be created.
- Organised & Detail-Oriented: A methodical and structured working style, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Clear & Professional Communicator: Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
- Compliance & Scientific Awareness: A background in science or technical disciplines is beneficial, though not essential—what matters most is your curiosity and commitment to compliance.
- Deadline-Driven & Adaptable: Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible mindset and a proactive attitude.
