AI Guild Lead / Practice Lead

Join a leading Insurance company as an AI Practice Lead, leading by example and embedding AI into the business.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Develop long-term plans for strategy and roadmaps
- Assess incoming resource requests, evaluate required skills and timelines, and assign Guild members to products based on their skills and availability.
- Working closely with the CDO to build out the AI practice within the company.
- Create short-term and long-term workforce plans to address capacity gaps, including recruitment, training, or upskilling initiatives.
- Ensure the Guild's skills and expertise evolve in line with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Support growth and development within the team
- Review and refine Guild standards and operating practices to ensure consistency and quality of delivery
Specialist Skills and Experience:
- Workforce Planning: Analyze Guild capabilities and anticipate future skill needs, aligning with organizational strategy.
- Resource Allocation & Capacity Management: Assign Guild members to products and initiatives, ensuring optimal utilization of skills and capacity.
- Budgeting & Resource Planning: Manage the Guild's budget, forecast resource needs, and advocate for resources to support Guild initiatives and development programs.
- Community Building & Engagement: Cultivate a strong sense of community within the Guild, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a supportive environment for professional growth.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, understand their needs, communicate Guild activities and value, resolve conflicts, and negotiate for resources or support.
- Talent Acquisition & Development: Lead recruitment efforts for the Guild, identify and attract top talent, and develop and implement training programs to address skill gaps and foster continuous learning.
- Performance Management & Career Progression: Create career paths and growth opportunities within the Guild to retain and motivate talent.
- Technical Leadership & Advocacy: Maintain a high level of technical expertise within the Guild's domain, acting as a thought leader and advocate for the Guild's capabilities within the organization.
- Knowledge Management & Best Practices: Establish and oversee knowledge management practices, ensuring that Guild knowledge is captured, shared, and readily accessible to all members
