AI Programme Manager

Location: London, UK

Type: Contract (Outside IR35)

Day Rate: £600 - £700

Duration: 9+ Months (high likelyhood for extension)

Stanton House has partnered with a leading music royalties organisation seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking AI Programme Manager to lead proof-of-concept initiatives in Artificial Intelligence and Automation, delivering through to pilot and production phases where appropriate. This role is critical in exploring, validating, and delivering meaningful business outcomes and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI and automation initiatives, from idea intake and scoping through to delivery, evaluation, and handover.
Translate business needs into intuitive digital/AI products and solutions.
Use customer data feedback and research to inform decisions and continuous improvements.
Build PoCs and MVPs with AI products in partnership with key stakeholders to drive internal buy-in.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
Lead multi-disciplinary developers and designers.
Ensure security, compliance, UX, and performance standards are met.
Define KPIs and objectives with business leads.
Identify high-impact opportunities for intelligent automation and AI-driven value.
Define success metrics for PoCs and establish evaluation frameworks.
Engage with external vendors, startups, and technology partners to explore new tools and approaches.
Develop product requirements, user stories, and lightweight roadmaps for PoCs.
Manage stakeholder engagement, expectations, risks, and outcomes with clear communication.
Document learnings and recommendations to inform future investments or scale-up initiatives.
Balance rapid experimentation with disciplined product thinking and ethical considerations.
Stay abreast of AI/ML trends, platforms, and frameworks to bring emerging ideas into the innovation pipeline.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in programme and product management, with at least 2–3 years in AI, innovation, or digital transformation roles.
Proven experience delivering technical PoCs or MVPs in complex environments.
Understanding of AI, machine learning, RPA, and intelligent workflows.
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
Ability to translate technical possibilities into clear business value and user-centric outcomes.
Strong experience in lean and agile methodologies and rapid iteration practices.
Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
[Preferred] Background in a related technical field or experience working closely with data science or automation teams.
