Role: Technical Delivery Manager

We are seeking a potential candidate for the role of AI Technical Lead within our Digital, Data and Technology (DDAT) directorate. This is a leadership position focused on embedding AI capabilities into our digital transformation journey.

Key Role Highlights

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions, including intelligent agents for automation and decision support.
• Translate business challenges into AI-enabled opportunities using platforms such as Azure AI Services, Copilot Studio, and low-code environments.
• Evaluate and implement agent orchestration frameworks and multi-agent systems.
• Ensure ethical, secure, and compliant AI practices aligned with organisational values.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to AI engineers.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering AI solutions in complex environments.
• Hands-on experience with task-based, conversational, or autonomous agents.
• Strong understanding of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning.
• Familiarity with Azure-based AI deployment, agent frameworks (e.g. LangChain, Semantic Kernel), and enterprise integration (e.g. Dynamics 365, SharePoint).
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Attributes

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure AI Engineer Associate.
• Experience in public sector or regulated environments.
• Awareness of GDS standards and Technology Code of Practice.
