Job Title: Aircraft Presentation Regulatory & Compliance Manager – UK & Ireland
Reporting to: Senior Regional QHSE Manager
Function: QHSE / Aircraft Presentation
Location: UK & Ireland (with travel across multiple stations)
Purpose of the Role:
To lead and manage regulatory compliance and quality assurance for Swissport’s Aircraft Presentation operations across the UK & Ireland region. The role ensures that all Aircraft Appearance services meet both internal standards and external regulatory requirements (including airline contracts, local and regulatory requirements), while driving a culture of continuous improvement, safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance & Audit
- Monitor and oversee quality, safety & environmental procedures to ensure they are in line with Swissport’s International safety and quality standards.
- Keep updated with regulatory requirements, update procedures as required and verify compliance with requirements.
- Take proactive measures to ensure safety of people and the environment.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory, safety, environmental, and customer standards across all Aircraft Presentation services.
- Lead internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and closure of findings, such as Regional, Global, Airline, and ISO audits.
- Act as liaison between Swissport, clients, and regulatory bodies (CAA, DfT, EASA, etc.) concerning aircraft presentation regulations.
- Maintain and update compliance documentation, manuals, and SOPs in line with evolving standards.
- Quality Management
- Monitor and report on performance against KPIs, SLAs, and safety metrics across stations.
- Identify non-conformities, investigate root causes, and drive corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).
- Standardise best practices across all UKI stations for aircraft cleaning, turnaround services, and cabin presentation.
- Continuous Improvement & Training
- Support the design and delivery of training for front-line staff and managers in compliance-related topics.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement in appearance standards, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with QHSE and Ops teams to improve processes, reduce risk, and innovate cleaning practices sustainably.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Station Managers, Aircraft Presentation Station Leads, and airline clients to maintain high levels of quality and compliance.
- Provide subject matter expertise to support new contract mobilisations, changes in regulation, or client audits.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in a regulatory, compliance, QHSE, or operational quality role within aviation, cleaning, or logistics industries.
- In-depth knowledge of all regulatory and airline-specific aircraft presentation requirements.
- Strong auditing, investigative, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience with ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) advantageous.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
- Ability to travel across UK & Ireland regularly.
