We have an exciting opportunity for an
Alcohol Practitioner who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.
With this role you’ll be working as part of the
Westminster team, based in Westminster. The team supports people with their or their loved ones’ alcohol issues.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

Full time Hours 37.5 per week
Salary £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 dependent on experience (based on full time working hours, pro rata for part time hours)
Allowances £4133.14 Inner London Weighting (based on full time working hours, pro rata for part time hours)
Contract Type Fixed Term until 31st March 2026
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
About the role
- To contribute to the reduction of alcohol-related harm to the residents of the local area
- Act as main care coordinator overseeing assigned groups of service users
- Coordinate a tailor-made package of care including recognised psychosocial interventions; 1 to1 key work, POD, and group work; clinical interventions; harm minimisation and brief interventions
- Work with clinicians to support prescribing regimes to improve social functioning
- Help individuals to develop recovery resources and access peer and mutual support groups to develop their own recovery capital
- Provide outreach services and work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team at the service named above alongside specialist agencies to deliver high quality provision
About you
- An understanding of the general issues affecting service users who present with alcohol misuse issues
- Experience of delivering a wide range of psychosocial Interventions to alcohol misusers
- Knowledge and experience of working in line with NICE guidelines Alcohol Pathways
- Experience of delivering harm reduction advice in relation to alcohol misuse
- Accomplished written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of personal IT competency
- Excellent time management skills, and an ability to work on own initiative, prioritising accordingly
- Excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objectives
- Ability to communicate complex information to individuals and groups in a way that is easily understood
