Veterinary Surgeon – Internal Medicine Focus
Join us at Alma Veterinary Hospital in Windsor, where your clinical expertise will be genuinely valued and fully supported.
We’re looking for a veterinary surgeon with a passion for internal medicine to take the lead in this area, while also enjoying the variety of a first-opinion caseload. Basic surgery is part of the role, but will be kept to a minimum unless you have a particular interest and would like to do more.
We’d especially love to hear from vets who hold, are working towards, or would like to work towards a certificate in medicine or advanced practitioner status. This is a full-time position with a 4-day week with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, however we are open to part-time hours for the right candidate.

We’re also the only practice within a 15-mile radius to provide laparoscopic surgery, which we're particularly proud of.

Our dedicated team includes 7 vets, whose working patterns equate to around 4.5 full-time equivalents. We’re fortunate to have a certificate holder in surgery and our two former practice partners are still very much involved in daily practice life. Our nursing team is made up of 10 nurses (8 RVNs and 2 student nurses), supported by 5 additional team members across reception, admin, and practice management. Many of our colleagues have been with us for several years, creating a close-knit and supportive working environment.
