About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Water Networks team as an Alternative Water Supply Operative. We’re looking for technically minded people to join our team in delivering alternative water supplies as well as supporting wider operational activities.
We are the local water provider for Essex (inc our London boroughs). We are looking for enthusiastic, committed talent who have the right personality and attributes to deliver the best customer service as we are a customer driven organisation.
As a member of the Alternative Water Supply team, you will be working together to deliver creative and innovative work that maintains our customers water supply. With planned and emergency works, you will also have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of supporting activities to keep water flowing, ensure water quality, avoid leakage, and maintain our assets.
We are focused on keeping water flowing so our Alternative Water supply team will be assisting our customers 24/7, as a member of this team you will participate on a standby rota and overtime may sometimes be required.
About You
We are looking for hard-working, flexible, technically minded people who would like a job that offers variety and the chance to work outdoors. You will need to be experienced with the use of mobile technology (smart phones/tablet etc) and also enjoy engaging with customers.

This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
