We are seeking a talented and motivated
Alveo Developer to join our team and help drive the design, integration, and optimization of data pipelines for market data unification across multiple asset classes.
This role involves collaborating across technical and business teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions, leveraging the Alveo platform and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts and technical teams to understand the project requirements and objectives for the market data unification across multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, swaps, etc.)
- Design, develop and test data pipelines to source, process and unify market data from multiple vendors, ensuring high-quality, consistent data delivery across multiple downstream systems
- Optimize and maintain data services, APIs and systems, and conduct thorough testing to ensure reliable data processing and publication from Alveo to consuming applications
- Support the migration of the market data system to AWS cloud, ensuring a seamless transition, efficient resource utilization and scalability in line with Alveo’s managed service offerings
- Work closely with data vendors to understand their formats and APIs, ensuring smooth integration of their data into the Alveo platform and resolving any integration issues that arise
- Implement monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting processes for data pipelines and downstream systems, proactively identifying and addressing issues to ensure high availability and adherence to service-level agreements
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years experience as a developer, with a strong background in data integration, API development and system optimization, ideally within financial services or market data environments
- Hands-on experience with Alveo or similar enterprise data management platforms, including integrating, transforming, and publishing data to multiple downstream systems
- Proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly AWS and familiarity with migrating systems to cloud environments
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python or Scala and experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, services and APIs. Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases is advantageous
- Experience using Agile project management tools like Jira, Confluence for task management, documentation, and collaboration in cross-functional teams
- Solid experience in testing, including writing and executing unit, integration, and performance tests, ensuring high-quality, reliable solutions through both automated and manual testing methods
