Are you passionate about political and social research? Do you have a knack for turning complex data into compelling insights? YouGov has an exciting opportunity for an Analytics Executive to join our Political team!

In this role, you'll be a key player in a team of experts, designing and delivering cutting-edge, high-impact research for a wide range of clients and stakeholders. You'll get to work on fascinating projects, from global elections to survey quality and data integrity.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):

• Work as part of a team of political analytics experts, running projects, supporting the work of team directors, and supporting to day-to-day functions of the team
• Design and define cutting-edge research projects that directly address client needs and unlock new market understanding.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of insights, ensuring our clients receive high-quality, impactful data and recommendations. This includes designing survey questionnaires, managing fieldwork, processing data, and delivering results.
• Continuously enhance the integrity and efficiency of our data collection, processing, and reporting processes, maintaining our reputation for excellence.
• Proactively manage analytical projects and activities, taking initiative to drive results and innovate.
• Create compelling presentations, reports, and visualisations (charts, dashboards) that effectively communicate insights and answer critical client questions.
  
  

These are the essential skills and experience you’ll need to get an interview:

• Analytical thinking, data analysis, and operational recommendations.
• Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of statistical methods (e.g., regression, causal inference, machine learning, and more).
• Proficiency in R or Python for data analysis, modelling, and visualisation
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel & PowerPoint)
• Interest in political and social research and/or relevant work experience in a market research company.
• Ability to work in a team and effectively communicate with clients.
• Ability to communicate complex findings to a variety of audiences, both verbally and written.
