- Opportunity to develop into a senior quality engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in performing inspections and quality checks on fabricated materials, welding, and construction assemblies
- Support the documentation and reporting of quality findings in line with industry standards and project specifications
- Help monitor compliance with health and safety regulations during quality inspections
- Participate in supplier audits and assist with corrective action follow-ups (oversee travel may be required)
- Learn to apply quality control tools such as non-destructive testing (NDT), weld inspection, and dimensional checks
- Collaborate closely with engineers, fabricators, and suppliers to understand quality requirements and improve processes
- Attend training sessions and college courses focused on construction quality standards, fabrication processes, and industry regulations Assisting with maintaining quality records, certifications, and compliance documentation
This is a level 4 Quality Practitioner apprenticeship delivered over a period of 21 months.
The apprentice would be required to attend the training centre for a one-week block, followed by 7 x 1 day per week workshops at the training centre and attending meetings with an assessor, at the company, one day per month.
The training provider is In-Comm Training Services. You will attend the Aldridge WS9 8UG site.
Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm.
