Description

A small, well-regarded boutique architecture studio is looking for a Technical Architect to support a live Stage 4 refurbishment and partial retrofit project in London. The scheme comprises of high-end, multi-unit townhouses, with a mix of residential fit-out and a commercial shell-and-core floor, and requires an architect confident in delivering robust technical drawing packages at RIBA Stage 4 to UK standards. This is a short-term, outside IR35 contract, offering remote working and a clearly defined technical scope.

Job Description

You will be supporting the studio at Stage 4, taking responsibility for the production and coordination of technical drawing packages. The role is delivery-focused and suited to someone comfortable working autonomously within an established design framework.

Key responsibilities include:Producing Stage 4 technical drawing packages for high-end residential refurbishment projects.
Delivering detailed UK residential construction information, including plans, sections, details, and schedules.
Working on a small mixed-use scheme, including residential fit-out and a commercial shell-and-core floor.

Coordinating information within Revit, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and buildability.

Liaising with the project team to respond to technical queries and maintain programme.

Key Skills

Qualified Architect or experienced Architectural Technician / Technologist.
Strong, hands-on Revit proficiency essential.
Proven experience delivering UK Stage 4 residential detailing, ideally on refurbishment or retrofit projects.
Solid understanding of UK building regulations and construction standards.
Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and produce technically sound drawing packages.
Prior experience on high-end London residential projects highly advantageous.
