We are looking for an architectural technician / technologist – ideally an experienced junior or intermediate level, to support our growing workload.
Initially, projects include a large industrial facility as well as the conversion of a Listed building into a 120 key hotel. Our work is very varied and covers a range across new build, refurbishment, and fit out design-led contemporary projects across numerous sectors such as the aforementioned industrial and leisure, and also higher education, commercial offices, residential developments, contemporary domestic projects, and pretty much anything else!
As a creative environment, the majority of our time is working in studio, operating 4 days a week in person in the design studio, with Wednesday a company-wide Working From Home day.
We’re looking for someone with a positive mindset, a passion for self-developing, takes pride in their work, and who isn’t afraid to take on responsibility. You will work alongside and be mentored by our established technical and delivery team in our friendly, informal, diverse, creative and collaborative studio and so being a team player is essential.
More specifically, good technical skills are essential, and project running experience in the UK and the ability to represent the practice with clients will be ideal. Experience of Autocad is essential and Revit experience will be an advantage. The use of a car and a full driving licence will be useful but not essential.
The space* studio has been established for almost 25 years and employs a combination of architecture and interior design staff in our studios in Birmingham and Manchester. This particular opportunity is in our Birmingham studio.
