Dental Area Manager
Location: Predominantly North East England, with some practices in North Yorkshire
Position: Full-time
Salary: Competitive- Depending on experience + annual performance bonus + Car allowance of £6,000 per annum.
Riverdale Healthcare is seeking an experienced, dynamic Dental Area Manager to inspire, develop, and lead a group of dental and orthodontic practices to achieve excellence in patient care, clinical outcomes, and commercial performance.
You’ll be the key link between our practices and support teams, ensuring they have the tools, direction, and encouragement to thrive. With full P&L responsibility and oversight of CQC compliance, you’ll combine commercial acumen with a patient-first approach, including a strong understanding of orthodontic service delivery.

You’ll be the key link between our practices and support teams, ensuring they have the tools, direction, and encouragement to thrive. What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, coach, and inspire Practice Managers and their clinical teams, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and excellence.
- Drive financial performance across your practices, delivering revenue growth while managing costs effectively.
- Ensure full CQC compliance, maintaining “Good” or above ratings across all locations.
- Build strong relationships with support teams to deliver against operational KPIs.
- Proactively address underperformance with timely, effective solutions.
- Oversee recruitment, workforce planning, and retention to ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Champion patient experience by ensuring service quality, timely complaint resolution, and promoting Riverdale’s full range of treatments.

About You
- Proven success in leading multiple sites and remote teams, ideally within healthcare, dentistry, and/or orthodontics.
- Strong financial management skills with P&L accountability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Skilled at driving operational excellence while maintaining a patient-centred approach.
- Calm under pressure, with the ability to navigate challenges and deliver results.
- Passionate about people development and building positive workplace cultures.
- Experience in multi-site operations and team leadership
- Strong understanding of orthodontic practice operations
- Strong commercial and data-driven decision-making skills
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Excel & Teams
- Knowledge of dental systems (SOE/SFD/Dentally)
- strong knowledge of Orthodontics
- CQC Dental Accreditation
- Full driving licence and access to a car.
