Quant Developer (Senior AI/ML Engineer – Knowledge Graphs & NLP) - UAE - Discrete Global Fund - Up to $230k base

📍 Abu Dhabi, UAE

💰 Up to $230k base + performance bonus

The opportunity

We are partnered with a leading global investment firm who are pioneering the use of AI to drive fundamental research and portfolio decisions. They are scaling a high-calibre team in Abu Dhabi and are looking for a senior engineer with deep expertise in AI/ML, knowledge graphs, and NLP to play a key role in building production-grade systems that deliver real-world impact.

What you’ll be doing

Designing and owning large-scale knowledge graph architectures and pipelines.
Building advanced NLP/LLM-based information extraction and retrieval systems.
Prototyping and deploying graph-based learning models and embeddings.
Collaborating directly with investment teams and researchers to turn complex requirements into scalable solutions.
Ensuring rigorous testing, evaluation, and governance of AI models and data pipelines.

What we’re looking for

Strong background (5–8+ years) in quantitative software development or applied AI/ML - finance expeirence is not required but can be beneficial (especialliy certain financial/alt data sets)
Deep expertise in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch (or JAX), with exposure to graph ML libraries.
Experience delivering production-grade systems involving knowledge graphs and/or modern NLP.
Solid grounding in algorithms, probability, statistics, and machine learning fundamentals.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Advanced academic background (MS/PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
