Asbestos Consultant

Role

The successful candidate will be experienced in one or more of the following areas of work:  

• Undertaking asbestos surveys and bulk sampling  
• Carrying out asbestos air monitoring including the issuing of Certificate of Re-occupation and Statement of Cleanliness
• Advise clients on legal requirements, regulations, and industry standards related to asbestos management
• Preparing accurate reports and plans of your work in standard formats  
• Maintaining and building on good relationship with clients
• Timely completion of monthly quality requirements

This role involves working to our Quality Management Systems and UKAS accreditation within small project teams of asbestos site analysts and surveyors and servicing a range of local and national clients in both the public and private sector. 

As a committed and service driven individual you will either have proven ability in the main core areas or a strong desire to gain this experience.  

On occasion, our work involves travelling and working at weekends and other unsocial hours as required from time to time. A full driving license is essential. As such full flexibility in working and travel will be required from the successful applicants to enable us to service our clients.

Approved overtime, travel and subsistence costs are payable.

Qualifications

• Relevant P modules or equivalent
• Minimum of 12 Months related work within UKAS accredited organisations 
• Knowledge of MS office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
• Use of handheld electronic devices and apps relevant to the position
• Organisation skills 
• Accuracy and attention to detail 
• Ability to fit in within an established team 
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to develop good relationships with clients and representatives at all levels
• Full manual driving license
