Asset Risk is responsible for a range of activities critical to the delivery of the Asset Risk strategy including residual value management and forecasting

You will be responsible for the forecasting of used and Multi Marque residual value management, as well as building modelling and automation tools to ensure residual values are managed and checking is automated. You will also be responsible for ensuring the whole VWFS Asset portfolio is fully registered with the Asset Registration Agencies to protect VWFS’s interests and the portfolios correctly match all agencies

This is what you will bring to the role:

• You have great communication skills and can engage, influence, challenge and respond to opposing views at all levels including our Board of Management
• Experience of technical report production, data analysis, business analysis, financial and accounting analysis and statistical techniques
• You're an experienced user of Microsoft Excel and Tableau which, are both essential for this role
• You can write comprehensive reports and present your findings to your stakeholders
• Manage short-term requirements however, you will also need to understand a broad strategic view of the business
  
  

This is what you could be doing:

• You will produce residual values for used vehicles up to 10 years old for both VWG brand vehicles and all other UK manufactures / National Sales Companies ensures the RV curves are correct and consistent and oversees the loading of these values into the POS systems.
• Produce all the required reviews for the Multi Marque RV Committee, using the latest available used vehicle information, micro and macroeconomic inputs, VWFS Remarketing data along with industry benchmarking data
• Present all recommendations for Multi Marque RV Reviews to the RV Committee, providing detailed rationale for each recommendation
• Oversee the implementation of all RV Committee ratified outcomes into all the VWFS POS systems and communicating these decisions to the user stakeholders
• Complete Asset Registration Agency (ARA) cleanses, liaising with the agencies, VWFS IT and operational areas to reconcile each asset with an applicable finance marker
• Own the 3rd party relationships with the Asset Registration Agencies and act as a key contact for all non-operational tasks including contract updates
• You will ensure daily handshake reports between VWFS and ARA’s and rejection reports are reviewed and acted upon along with resolving any issues generated
• Liaising with the VWFS HQ Group Risk Management team to ensure all modelling techniques are compliant with the I-OHB
• Design and build financial modelling techniques that are transparent, auditable, and flexible to test the accuracy of the RV setting methodologies.
• Work with the VWFS HQ International Residual Value Management team to provide support and consultancy on RV Setting processes for other FS Countries
• Represent VWFS at vehicle launches for either VWG vehicles or Multi Marque manufacturers
• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of reports that monitor all aspects of Asset Risk activities including proposal volume, proposal rentals and RVs using excel and macros to maximise the automation potential, reduce risk and improve overall efficiencies.
• Pre and post RV Committee analysis ensuring that changes are monitored in an automated and consistent manner ensuring any anomalies are outlined to the RV Committee.
• Responsible for the development of core Asset Risk systems, working with internal and external suppliers to maintain, improve and adapt systems to ensure they remain compatible with the future requirements of the business, makes and oversees changes ensuring these are in line with business guidelines.
• Drive forward automation and streamlining of processes relating to the creation and analysis of valuation data for the forecasts and valuation reports.
• Seek to evaluate and innovate current business processes to ensure they are fully optimised for future strategy plans (i.e. Digital platforms, Used Vehicles)
