🧾 About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team responsible for the accounting and financial control of Central and Head Office functions across
Pilgrim’s Europe. The role supports accurate reporting, effective planning, and strong Business Partnering to enable informed decision-making and robust cost control.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of month-end files
- Analyse financial data, investigate anomalies, and report findings
- Prepare and post monthly journals
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare weekly Engineering cost information
- Manage Intercompany (I/C) recharges
- Coordinate and submit Quarterly Alcohol Duty returns
- Monitor and report on GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) trends
- Investigate and resolve central GRNI issues with stakeholders
- Support KPI reporting for business systems
- Contribute to ad hoc business projects as required
- Ensure compliance with SOX and internal control standards
✅ Essential Skills & Experience
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, lookups)
- Proven administrative experience
- Proactive approach to problem-solving
- Willingness to train and pursue a formal accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, CIMA, ACCA)
