Assistant Accountant
Location: London SE1 (hybrid working)
Contract: 6-month fixed term | Full-time (35 hours per week)
Salary: £33,228
We're looking for a proactive Assistant Accountant to join a friendly finance team at a leading social enterprise and community organisation based on London's South Bank. You'll help keep the financial systems accurate and up to date across multiple entities, playing a key role in maintaining daily banking processes and supporting financial control.
What you'll do:
Upload daily banking transactions and process payments.
Manage and reconcile company credit cards.
Review VAT codes, accruals, and prepayments.
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
Support improvements to financial systems and processes.
What you'll bring:
AAT Level 4 or part-CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified.
Experience in bank transaction processing and reconciliations.
Strong Excel and accounting systems skills.
Great attention to detail, organisation, and teamwork.
