Who We Are Looking For
Crisis24 is looking for a driven finance professional based in the London area. You should be well-versed in transactional finance and quite comfortable with the financial systems. Attention to detail and high motivation are a must for this role. Appetite for growth and challenge will benefit the candidates applying for this position. Keen to explore and implement AI tools to optimise the role with the support of the wider team.
What You Will Work On
The role will focus on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable from the transactional level to management accounts. Making sure all supplier invoices are on the system and any queries answered, managing payment runs for Accounts Payable, and preparing Accruals and Prepayments for the month end. The Assistant Accountant will make sure that Accounts Receivable invoices are raised and sent to the client, and maintain an outstanding debt tracker, Bank and Credit Card reconciliation, alongside Petty Cash will be part of the monthly tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Assist with month-end procedures, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Support the wider finance team with administrative and reporting tasks
- Help maintain financial controls and ensure processes are followed company-wide
- Liaise with colleagues across departments to provide financial support and insights
Who You Will Work With
The role has a significant importance for the operations team and will be working with an array of people, including Suppliers and Contractors for Accounts Payable, colleagues and Regional Directors for Accounts Receivable, and ad-hoc reporting, and the Senior Finance Manager for all other tasks and guidance.
What You Will Bring
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in AP and AR
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and month-end processes
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a finance function
- A genuine willingness to support and collaborate with team members
- Positive attitude, self-motivation, and initiative are essential
- Experience using Salesforce or other finance-related software
- Proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
