We're looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks Finance team based near Salford
Location: Salford, - hybrid working available, with occasional travel to the office required
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
As an Assistant Accountant, you'll be working within the Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks Finance team, supporting them in improving efficiency, ensuring accurate reporting, and resolving queries in a timely manner.
Your Day To Day Will Include
- Assisting with the preparation of the balance sheet and ensuring accurate cost transaction records
- Supporting production of timely and accurate management information
- Liaising across Kier entities to resolve queries and maintain clear audit trails
- Supporting ad-hoc queries, project work, and investigative analysis
- Driving process improvements through simplified Excel models and system enhancements
What are we looking for?
This role of Assistant Accountant is great for you if:
- You're currently studying towards AAT, CIMA, or ACCA
- You have good knowledge of core financial systems and accounting procedures
- You have strong time management, communication, and Excel skills, and a proactive approach to change
