An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accounts Coordinator to join the Court of Protection department. This role would involve working with Court of Protection solicitors and a small, dedicated accounts team within a specialist department dedicated to dealing with the management of the property and financial affairs of people who lack the ability to deal with these themselves. The department also administers personal injury trusts on behalf of individuals who have received large compensation awards.
The role
Supporting the Court of Protection team, you will be responsible for arranging large volumes of bank payments via a dual authorisation banking process. The payments are required as part of the day-to-day administration of the financial affairs for approximately 150 individuals who lack capacity to manage their own finances. Skills & Qualifications
Applications are welcomed from candidates who have experience of managing financial accounts, have used banking and accounting systems and are competent users of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and databases.
The successful candidate will need to be highly numerate, methodical, accurate and be able to work as part of a dedicated team who are committed to working with clients and their families to ensure their particular needs and requirements are met and that the client's has the maximum independence that is possible.
AAT qualification would be advantageous, but it is not a prerequisite for this role.
