About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an
Assistant Bid Lead to join our team. This is a project-focused role that supports the wider business in securing work and delivering high-quality pre-construction services. You’ll be involved in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) schemes, strategic client engagement, and leading buildability reviews. Working closely with Commercial, Operational, Engineering and Technical teams, this role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in pre-construction and bid management.
What you'll be doing
The Following Qualities/experience Are Essential
- 6 to 12 months of relevant experience in pre-construction, bid support, estimating, or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage documentation, delivery programmes, and risk registers.
- Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across functions including design, proposals, commercial and technical teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to contribute to meetings and liaise with clients and suppliers.
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
The Following Qualities/experience Are Desirable
- Understanding of construction standards, specifications, and methodologies.
- Experience using Candy estimating software and/or MS Project.
- Familiarity with the modular or infrastructure construction industry.
- Knowledge of document control and bid coordination processes.
- Experience using Jaggaer Procurement Portal or similar platforms.
- Previous exposure to bid strategy meetings, client brief reviews, and risk management practices.
